Psychotherapy from an Aging Perspective

DR. WILLIAM MARSHALL PETRIE
 

Dr Petrie will review the cognitive, medical and psychological changes of aging as they impact psychotherapy, and psychological operations. This will include changes in brain function, physical activity, medical illness and general adaptation. Issues of caregiving, physical activity, and extended longevity will also be covered.

Dr. Petrie is Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Vanderbilt and Director of the Senior Assessment Clinic there. He has had career interests in aging, degenerative illness, and drug treatment of psychiatric disorders.
